Classroom Teachers & After School Programs Staff Development Sessions The Community~Word Project closely works with classroom teachers in two capacities. Our teaching artists work alongside classroom teachers, integrating creative expression and literacy into the curricula in sustainable ways. We also provide staff development sessions that introduce classroom teachers to innovative ways to strengthen collaborative creative expression and literacy skills in the classroom and the after-school setting. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The Community~Word Project provides professional and staff development for classroom teachers, school and after-school administrators, after-school leaders, teaching artists, student teachers, youth workers, parent leadership teams and corporations.
